Happening over the holiday season in 1914, the Christmas Truce was a series of widespread, unofficial ceasefires that occurred along the Western Front during World War I. In the week leading up to Christmas, German and British soldiers and, to a lesser extent, the French, exchanged food and souvenirs, played soccer, and even sang carols in "No Man's Land."
Painted by hand, these 1/32 scale, metal figures of soldiers engaging in that brief truce are finely detailed from head to toe. Measure 2¼" tall.
