Developed in Germany in the mid-1930s, the Bf 110 — often erroneously called the Me 110 — was a heavy fighter flown by the Luftwaffe through the end of the war. Though top officials, including Hermann Göring, championed the aircraft, it had aerodynamic shortcomings and was largely used as a night fighter in the war's later years. More than 6,000 were ultimately manufactured.
Made by Hobby Master, this 1/72 scale, die cast model replicates a Bf 110E-2 as it appeared with JG1 in 1942. It features recessed panel lines, a signature black paint scheme, an opening "birdcage" canopy, a well-appointed cockpit (including an instrument panel and crew figures), rotating propellers, wing-mounted tanks, full weapons complement, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and a display stand. Measures approximately 6¾" with an 8¾" wingspan.
