Designed to be the "Ultimate Interceptor," the F-106 Delta Dart was introduced in 1959 with the U.S. Air Force. It was the last dedicated American interceptor, serving in that role during the height of the Cold War. It was not retired until the 1980s with drone conversions used by NASA through 1998.
Made by Hobby Master, this 1/72 scale, die cast model is a reproduction of an F-106 as it appeared with the 125th FIG (Florida Air National Guard) in December of 1983. It features signature tail artwork, engraved panel lines, a glazed opening canopy, a well-equipped cockpit (with a removable pilot figure), drop tanks, a detailed exhaust nozzle, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and a display stand. Measures approximately 11¾" long with a 6¼" wingspan.
