On February 28, 1994, Captain Robert Wright — flying an F-16C Fighting Falcon with the 526th TFS "Black Knights" — entered Bosnian airspace during Operation Deny Flight. Spotting a trio of Serbian J-21 Jastrebs, Wright fired two AIM-9Ms and an AIM-120 and took down all three enemy warplanes. His aircraft (nicknamed the "Triple-Jastreb-Killer") was later painted with three green stars to commemorate his achievement.
Part of Air Force 1's Smithsonian Series, this 1/100 scale, die cast model is a reproduction of Captain Wright's F-16C Block 40G. In addition to its historic markings (including victory marks), it features engraved panel lines, a glazed canopy, a well-appointed cockpit, wing-mounted weaponry, a detailed exhaust nozzle, and an all-metal display stand. Measures approximately 6" long with a 4" wingspan.
