A single-engine supersonic multirole fighter, the F-16 Fighting Falcon was originally developed for the U.S. Air Force as an air superiority day aircraft. Notable features of the Falcon are its frameless bubble canopy for better visibility, side-mounted control stick, a 30-degree reclined seat to reduce g-forces, and it's the first to use a relaxed static stability flight control system. "Viper" is another common name given to the F-16 because it resembles a viper snake as well as the Colonial Viper Starfighter on Battlestar Galactica.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master replica of the F-16A Fighting Falcon from the ROCAF "Solo Demo" of 2017. It features engraved panel lines, a rotating propeller, a well-equipped cockpit, authentic markings, and a display stand. Measures 8¼" long with a 5¼" wingspan.
