Take advantage of the rare opportunity to own a model with a nameplate signed by the only U.S. Air Force pilot ace of the Vietnam War!
This striking Hobby Master model is a replica of Captain Steve Ritchie's F-4D Phantom II as it appeared during his ace-achieving summer of 1972. The Air Force's first and only ace pilot of the Vietnam War, Ritchie shot down five MiG-21s from May to August of that year while operating the F-4 Phantom II enhanced with the secretive "Combat Tree" electronics. Most thrillingly, this striking replica — a re-creation of the aircraft in which Ritchie achieved his first and fifth victories with the 555th "Triple Nickel" TFS — comes with a nameplate autographed by the legend himself!
This limited edition, 1/72 scale, die cast model also features his warbird's signature camouflage paint scheme, engraved panel lines, an opening cockpit with two crew figures, a well-equipped cockpit, detailed turbojet engines, optional-position landing gear, full weapons complement including wing-mounted missiles and bombs, authentic camouflage paint scheme, and a display stand. Measures approximately 10½" long with a 6¼" wingspan.
