The F-4 Phantom II, one of the most influential fighters in history, entered service in the United States in 1960. The aircraft, which has seen combat duty in numerous conflicts around the world including extensive service in Vietnam, has operated with a number of national militaries.
Made by Hobby Master, this 1/72 scale, die cast model is a reproduction of an F-4J flown by the RAF in 1990 — they used these secondhand warbirds as a stopgap measure after losses suffered in the Falklands. It features panel lines, an opening canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, two removable crew figures, detailed turbofan engines, wing-mounted weaponry, optional-position landing gear, authentic No. 74 Squadron markings, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 10½" long with a 6¼" wingspan.
