Delivered too late to see combat during World War II, the F7F Tigercat saw action as a night fighter and attack aircraft during the early years of the Korean War. Less than 400 were ultimately built and the only unit to use it during combat was the VMF(N)-513 of the U.S. Marines.
This 1/48 scale plastic kit, a replica of the F7F-3 (the most-produced Tigercat variant), features engraved panel lines, a glazed canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, detailed Pratt & Whitney R-2800-34W radial piston engines, full weapons complements (including drop tanks and torpedoes), and authentic markings. Assembly required. Skill level 2. Measures approximately 11¼" long with a 12¾" wingspan.
