The Farrey Gannet was an anti-submarine warfare aircraft introduced into the Royal Navy's fleet in 1953. It served various militaries around the world — including Indonesia, Germany, and Australia — for more than 25 years before its 1978 retirement. There was also an airborne early warning variant produced: the Gannet AEW.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model — a replica of a Fairey Gannet operating with the Royal Navy, as it appeared in 1957 — features engraved panel lines, a glazed canopy and rear station, a rotating dual propeller, a well-equipped cockpit, fixed landing gear, authentic markings, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 7¼" with a 9" wingspan.
