Designed for high-altitude interception of American B-17s (and B-29s rumored to be on the way), the Luftwaffe's Ta 152 was one of the fastest, highest-flying piston-engine fighters of World War II. It did not, however, see action until 1945 when the war's outcome was all but assured for the Allies. Less than fifty were manufactured and it scored but seven aerial victories during the war.
A detailed replica of the Nazi interceptor, this 1/48 scale plastic kit features a realistic fuselage and wing design, a detailed rear cabin, a multi-piece canopy, a well-equipped interior with photo-etched parts, an authentic undercarriage and wheel bays, wing cannon, separate control surfaces, opening cowl flaps, and historic decals. Assembly required. 100+ pieces. Skill level 2. Measures approximately 8¾" long with a 9" wingspan.
