Known as the 7th most successful WWII Luftwaffe fighter pilot, Erich Rudorffer first became the 2nd Staffel/JG. 2 "Richthofen" on January 7, 1940. He scored his first victory on May 14, 1940, and by May 1941 had tallied 19 total which won him the Knight's Cross. Finally, Rudorffer was promoted to Staffelkapitan of 6./JG. 2 and moved to Tunisia where he shot down nine British aircraft within 32 minutes. He ended his career with a total of 224 aircraft.
This 1/48 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master replica of an Fw 190A-4, as it appeared flown by Oblt. Erich Rudorffer in North Africa during the spring of 1943, features engraved panel lines, an opening canopy with a removable pilot figure, a well-equipped cockpit, a professional hand painted scheme, authentic markings, and a display stand. Measures 7¼" long with a 8½" wingspan.
