Introduced in March of 1953, the Hawker Sea Hawk was a British fighter that served initially with the Royal Navy. It was the company's first jet aircraft and proved a reliable aircraft, remaining in service until 1983. During that time it saw combat duty during the Suez Crisis, Indo-Pakistani War, and elsewhere. More than 500 were manufactured.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model — a replica of the Sea Hawk as it appeared with the Royal Netherlands Air Force — features engraved surface details, a glazed canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, realistic air intakes, optional-position landing gear, and authentic FGA.50 markings. Measures approximately 6½" long with a 6½" wingspan.
