Known for their heavily armored protection during the German invasion of Russia in World War II, the KV was a series of Soviet heavy tanks seeing numerous variants manufactured for multiple purposes. In total, more than 5,000 units were produced, with designations between models of the era being somewhat murky. Later in the war, the chassis became the basis for the enduring "JS" series of tanks, which were used throughout the world until the mid-1990s.
Hobby Master, as a tribute to the rugged tank, has released this 1/72 scale, die cast model — a reproduction of a KV-1E used by the Red Army's 6th Heavy Tank Guard Regiment, in the USSR in May of 1943 — featuring textured surfaces, a rotating howitzer turret, elevating weaponry, realistic tracks, authentic markings, and a removable terrain base. Measures approximately 3¾" long.
