Introduced in December of 1960, the M60 Patton main battle tank — which was not retired from U.S. service until 2005 — remains in service with 19 national militaries. The menacing vehicle saw duty during Operation Desert Storm, the Iraq-Iran War, and numerous other Middle Eastern conflicts. More than 15,000 M60s have been manufactured over its impressive lifespan.
