The F-4 Phantom II, one of the most influential fighters in history, entered service in the United States in 1960. The aircraft, which has seen combat duty in numerous conflicts around the world including extensive service in Vietnam, has operated with numerous national militaries. The F-4F is a simplified F-4E variant exported to Germany, first received in 1973 with the last models landing in 1976.
This 1/72 scale, Hobby Master, die cast replica of an F-4F — sporting authentic markings from the Luftwaffe JG-71 from the F-4 Phantom II's retirement celebration in 2013 — features its original paint scheme, realistic panel lines, a sliding canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, two removable crew figures, detailed turbofan engines, optional-position landing gear, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 10½" long with a 6¼" wingspan.
