Introduced in December of 1990, the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 jet airliner was based on the DC-10, and featured an all-digital glass cockpit that eliminated the need for a flight engineer. Commercial airliners around the world have operated the MD-11, and it remains in service as a cargo aircraft with FedEx and UPS the primary users.
This 1/200 scale, Hobby Master, die cast model of an MD-11-2 — sporting a striking World Airways "Retro" livery — features realistic access panels and doors, simulated cockpit and cabin windows, detailed engines, optional-position landing gear, and a stylish presentation stand. Measures approximately 12" long with a 10¼" wingspan.
