On March 21, 1968, the SR-71 (#976) was flown as the first Blackbird to conduct an operational mission by Ed Payne and Jerry O'Malley over Vietnam. Finishing with 2,985.7 career flight hours, the aircraft also became the last to be flown to a museum. Since 1990, it's been at the U.S. Air Force Museum where it continues to be one of the best-looking Blackbirds. 17¾" long.< /br>
