Manufactured in Belfast, Northern Ireland, from 1986-1995, the Short Tucano is a trainer aircraft still in service with the RAF. Only 160 units were built, and, though the majority of these are in service in England, a number have also been exported to Kenya and Kuwait. It is scheduled to be withdrawn from service within the next few years.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model — a replica of a Short Tucano used by the RAF Flight School — features that aircraft's signature red accents, a rotating propeller, a glazed canopy, a well-equipped tandem cockpit, fixed landing gear, authentic markings, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 5¼" with a 6¼" wingspan.
