The Russian SU-35 Super Flanker air superiority fighter is an upgraded derivative of the SU-27 and first took flight in the late 1980s. The SU-35S, a more advanced variant introduced in 2007, is considered a 4++ generation fighter meant to bridge the gap before the 5th generation PAK FA is introduced in 2016. Forty-eight units of the "S" have been ordered by the Russian government at a cost of $65 million each.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model features realistic panel lines, a glazed canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, optional-position landing gear, full weapons complement, authentic Russian Air Force markings, and a display stand. Measures approximately 12" long with an 8" wingspan.
