Heinz Krebs. In the winter of 1944-45, the 15th Air Force fought its way north into Germany from its bases in Italy, utilizing the Alps as a natural wall of defense. Here, after battling Luftwaffe fighters over southern Germany, a pair of 82nd Fighter Group P-38s returns to base using a mountain pass as a concealed route. This 27"x 19", limited edition print is signed and numbered by the artist.
