We've had 1/18 scale models of aircraft from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and beyond, but this is the first 1/18 scale X-plane! Replicating the rocket-powered Bell X-1 flown by Chuck Yeager in 1947 when he became the first to break the "sound barrier" in controlled, level flight, this 1/18 scale, plastic model features textured surfaces, a detailed cockpit with a glazed windscreen, nose- and wing-mounted pitot tubes, retractable landing gear, authentic U.S. Air Force and "Bell Aircraft" markings, and more. Measures approximately 23" long; minor assembly required.
