Finding an Item
To search for a particular product, type in the item name, product number, or related keywords in the Product Search box in the upper right corner of the page. You can also browse products by category using the drop down menus along the top of the page.
Ordering a Product
When you find an item(s) you want to purchase, click the "Add to Cart" button. This will put the item into "memory" so that you can continue shopping, or prepare to buy that item. It does not mean you are locked in to buying that item. Once you are done shopping, click on the "Shopping Cart" icon. Everything you have added to your cart will now be displayed and you can begin the checkout process.
HistoricAviation.com uses a secure server. Any personal information you submit such as your credit number, name, phone number, etc. is encrypted as it travels through the Internet. Encryption means the that information is encoded in such a way that it cannot be read by other parties. This is safer than using your credit card at a restaurant. Always look for a lock icon or text at the bottom of your browser window that tells you that you have a secure connection over the Internet. HistoricAviation.com does not give or sell the information you submit to anyone. If you still aren't comfortable, please use our toll-free number to place your order. Keep in mind that phone orders may take longer to process.
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges on your credit card. If you suspect unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
The shopping cart feature makes shopping easier at HistoricAviation.com. When you find an item you want to buy, click the "Add to Cart" button below it. Whenever you add an item to your cart, you will automatically be taken to the view cart page where you will see the item(s) currently in your cart. At this point you can continue shopping, edit the item(s) in your cart, or proceed with the check out process. When editing your cart, you can modify the quantity of a product by highlighting the number displayed next to the item, changing it to reflect how many you want, and clicking "Update Cart"; remove an individual item from your cart by clicking the "Remove" button next to that product; or empty your entire cart by clicking "Empty Cart". When you have finished shopping, and you are happy with the items in your cart, click the "Checkout" button at the bottom of the page.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal check, certified check, or money order payable in U.S. dollars to Historic Aviation. Sorry, we do not accept C.O.D. orders.
Checkout and Payment
Click the "Shopping Cart" icon located in the upper right corner of the page. Review the items in your cart before clicking the "Proceed to Secure Checkout" button. The next page you'll see gathers your billing information. The information you enter will be secure. Follow the instructions on the page. During your first purchase at HistoricAviation.com you will be presented with the option of choosing a username and password. This stores your information so you don't have to re-enter it the next time you visit our site, saving you time on future orders. If you already have a username and password, you may log in and skip this section. Otherwise, you'll need to fill out all the text input fields.
Please note: The check box under the "Shipping Address" section, if left checked, assumes that the items will be shipped to the address given for your billing address. If this is not the case, un-check the box and enter the correct shipping information.
When you reach the final checkout page, all of the information that applies to your order will be displayed. At this point, you can still change your order or information, add special shipping instructions, or choose different shipping options. If everything on the checkout page meets your approval, select your method of payment, enter the information, and click the "Submit Your Order" button. Your order will be submitted and you will be taken to the receipt page. Be sure to print out a copy of this page or write down the receipt number given for your order.
