Historic Sales Announces SkyMax Models® Die Cast Airplanes

New Brighton, Minnesota, October 15, 2008 – Historic Sales, a leading distributor of military history, aviation and railroad products to the hobby industry, is pleased to introduce SkyMax Models®, a new, value-priced line of high quality die cast aircraft.

The first SkyMax Models aircraft are available for immediate pre-ordering from Historic Sales, which will be SkyMax Models’ exclusive North American distributor, and are scheduled to ship in time for the 2008 holiday shopping season with a suggested retail price of $31.45 and a likely street price of less than $30. Those initial products will be of the United States’ F8F Bearcat, a post-World War II Navy fighter, and will be followed in early 2009 by models of the La-5, a Soviet-built World War II fighter, and by an O-1 Bird Dog, a U.S. observation and control aircraft employed in the Vietnam War. All of these initial aircraft will be manufactured in the industry-standard 1/72 scale for seamless integration into consumers’ existing collections.
