Replicating a Travel Air 4000 - introduced in the 1920s by the Travel Air Manufacturing Company, which was organized by Lloyd Stearman, Walter Beech and Clyde Cessna - painted to resemble a German World War I aircraft for use in an air show or in a Hollywood movie, this 1/48 scale die cast model features textured surfaces, an open canopy with a glazed windshield and a pilot figure, prototypical staggered wings with intricate rigging, a rotating propeller, the prototype's unusual rudder shape and "elephant ear" ailerons, German "Flying Dragon" markings, and more. 7¾" wingspan; arrives ready to display.
