George Welch in his P-40B Warhawk joins the attack on a flight of Aichi Type 99 "Val" dive bombers en route to the Marine base at Ewa Field during Japan's December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor. Welch and his squadron mate, 2nd Lt. Kenneth M. Taylor (bottom in print), made two flights over Hawaii that day and were the first officially decorated U.S. heroes of World War II. 13"x 19" limited edition print is signed and numbered by the artist.
