The USS Saratoga was the U.S. Navy's second aircraft carrier, being commissioned in November, 1927, one month before her class leader, USS Lexington (CV-2). And though she survived World War II only to serve as a guinea pig anchored with other ships for post-war testing of the atomic bomb, now you can bring her back to life again! This 1/350 scale plastic kit is amazing in its detail. Fitted in her mid-1930s configuration, your Sara will include a choice of waterline or full hull configurations, intricate island detailing, an assortment of realistic lifeboats, 8" and 5" guns, and an exquisitely detailed flight deck that includes a variety of pre-war U.S. Navy aircraft. Measures 30½" long and includes a display stand; 566 parts, assembly required.
