| F-4J Phantom II 1/72 Die Cast Model
"Shamrock 201," VMFA-333, USS America, 1972
On Sept. 11, 1972, the F-4J Phantom II flown by Maj. Lee "Bear" Lasseter and RIO Capt. John Cummings of the VMFA-33 "Shamrocks" scored the only USMC air-to-air victory (shooting down a MiG-21U flown by a Russian pilot and a Vietnamese student) of the Vietnam War.
Replicating that aircraft, this 1/72 scale, die cast Hobby Master model features a detailed cockpit with optional-position canopies and beautifully painted crew figures; removable fuselage- and wing-mounted missiles (Sparrow and Sidewinder) and fuel tanks; optional-position landing gear; authentic markings, including the squadron's famous shamrocks on the tail; and more. 9¾" long with a 6¼" wingspan; includes a display stand.
