Replicating a two-seat, F-14A Tomcat flown by commander Marty "Streak" Chanik (who retired as a vice admiral and 2nd Fleet commander in 2008) of the VF-84 "Jolly Rogers" stationed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) in 1988, this amazingly detailed, plastic model - the first 1/18 scale Tomcat! - is a real beauty.
Premium features include engraved panel lines and simulated rivets; a fully-outfitted cockpit with a hinged, opening canopy; movable flight control surfaces, including variable sweep wings, rear elevators, air brakes and "glove vanes;" detailed turbojet engine intakes and exhaust nozzles; a pilot step-in ladder system; removable missiles and fuel tanks; retractable landing gear with real rubber tires; a realistically weathered paint scheme with authentic markings, including Jolly Rogers insignia on the tails; and more. 41¾" long; requires only a few minutes of simple assembly.
