A replica of a Heinkel He 111 medium bomber - which, initially masqueraded as a transport aircraft, was designed in the early 1930s in violation of the Treaty of Versailles - operated by 1./KG 53, Legion Condor, in Italy in 1942, this limited edition, 1/72 scale, die cast Corgi model features engraved panel lines, the aircraft's familiar "greenhouse" nose, hand-painted crew figures, realistic engine fronts with rotating propellers, detailed gunner stations, a fuselage-mounted 1,000kg "Hermann" bomb, optional-position landing gear, a whitewash camouflage paint scheme with authentic markings, and more. Measures approximately 9" long with a 12¼" wingspan and arrives ready to display on the included stand.
