| USAF U-2R "Dragon Lady" 1/144 Model
Despite its advancing age, the Lockheed U-2 "Dragon Lady" - which, first flown in 1955, was built in response to President Dwight Eisenhower's request for advanced intelligence gathering on the Soviet Union - continues to fly high-altitude, all-weather reconnaissance missions for the U.S. Air Force even today.
A replica of a U-2R - which, first flown in 1967, was significantly larger than the original U-2 - flown by the 1st Reconnaissance Squadron, 9th Reconnaissance Wing, from Beale Air Force Base, this newly-tooled, 1/144 scale, plastic Dragon Wings model of the legendary spy plane features finely scribed surfaces, a glazed canopy, prototypical glider-like wings, and authentic markings, including "Snoopy" on the tail. 8¼" wingspan; arrives ready to display on the included stand. #0093041 Price: $39.95
