Not long after World War II, North American Aviation entered into the turbine-powered fighter world and started to work on developing aircraft. The FJ-2 was formed from the F-86, though one major improvement was the replacement of the Sabre's six .50 caliber machine guns with four 20mm cannons. The Navy gave the FJ-2 to the U.S. Marines.
This 1/48 scale kit is a high-quality replicate with special markings of the FJ-2. This kit includes a list of great features like a detailed cockpit and ejection seat with photo-etched restraints, a positional canopy, a detailed port and starboard gun bays, four fuselage-mounted ammo cans, positional ammo bay doors, flight-ready or folded wings, positional trailing edge flaps, and optional pilot and plane captain figures. Assembly required. It measures 16"x 10½"x 2½".
