The H-21 Shawnee, a workhorse of the U.S. Army for its ability to perform demanding transport tasks in a variety of environments, was known as the "flying banana" for the upward angle of the aft fuselage. The angled fuselage was developed to accommodate the two powerful tandem rotors and the oversized propellers. This 1/48 scale plastic kit replicates the unique aircraft and features photo etched parts, detailed cockpit and cargo, realistic landing gear, authentic decals for 5 versions, and color instructions. Assembly required, skill level 4, 13" long.
