The 807th TDB was established in March, 1942 and arrived at Utah Beach on September 18, 1944. In 1945, the Germans initiated their last major offensive, "Operation Nordwind" that aimed to smash through allied forces and destroy the U.S. 7th Army. The offensive began on December 31, 1944 and lasted until January 25, 1945. The M8 Greyhound began production in March 1943, and it served the U.S. and British troops against the Germans.
