In February 1992, Croatia received three MiG-21BISs after winning the War of Independence against Yugoslavia. In May 1993, when Croatian born pilots defected from the Yugoslav Air Force the aircraft was decorated with the Croatian emblem, along with new serial numbers. Flown by Colonel Ivan Selak, the MiG-21BIS was named "Osvetnik Dubrovnika" or "Avenger of Dubrovnik" with the 1st Fighter Squadron insignia on its nose. Today, it is displayed as the only survivor at the 91st Air Base Museum at Zagreb-Pleso. 8" long.< /br>
